So, I had this hilarious conversation with a colleague earlier and thought, “Why not share it with all of you?” After all, we’re all a little geeky when it comes to our passions, right?
Have you ever played the “tell me without telling me” game? Well, we played the “tell me you love SEO without telling me you love SEO” version. Let me paint the picture for you.
🚀 Monday Morning Coffee
Every Monday, without fail, my mug has the phrase, “Rank #1 or bust!” written on it. Does it get any clearer? Okay, maybe I’m bragging a little, but you get the point.
My other Monday routines include reading the following newsletters:
- SEOFOMO newsletter by Aleyda Solis
- Dr. Marie Haynes’ weekly SEO and AI newsletter
- SEO Engine Roundtable by Barry Schwartz
If you have not signed up for the newsletters yet, I highly recommend you do! There is no better way to learn SEO than following the people who live and breathe it.
🧠 Dinner Table Discussions
Dinners at my place? It’s all fun and games until someone asks, “How was work?” Then it’s a deep dive into search intent, AI, and algorithm updates. Who else can relate?
📚 Bedtime Reading
I’ll let you in on a little secret. The last book on my nightstand? I have the “In the Plex: How Google Thinks, Works, and Shapes Our Lives” by Steven Levy.
Okay, this might be old but I was always fascinated by how Google started, who were the people behind the organisation and how it grew exponentially since its launch in 1998. And if we’re on the same page, “Marketing in the Age of Google” by the former Googler, Vanessa Fox, is another must-read. 📚🌐
🛍️ Shopping Sprees
The other day, I was shopping online at Lazada, and instead of looking at the product, I found myself checking the website’s structure and comparing it to Shopee and Amazon. Talk about dedication! 😂
🌍 Travel Plans
Vacations? Instead of dreaming about sunny beaches, I sometimes catch myself daydreaming about attending the next big SEO conference. (Yes, seriously.) Networking and knowledge? Sign me up!

🗣️ When ‘404’ Becomes a Swear Word
You know you’re deep into the SEO world when hearing “404 Page Not Found” feels like someone stepped on your brand new white sneakers. Ouch.
🧩 Weekend Hobbies
Most people might take up painting or cycling. Me? I spend my weekends analysing my website’s traffic, playing with new keyword strategies, and reading up on the latest Google updates. SEO isn’t just a job; it’s a way of life!
